After graduating college, Houston Diamond Outlet owner Jay Horgan, moved to California where he met his wife and started in the family diamond business.Their shop was located in the heart of the diamond district of Los Angeles in 1992. Very quickly their passion of educating their customers, something new to the industry at that time, made their company thrive.
This was way before the internet and information on diamonds was extremely limited. This is where the mindset of building a relationship with his customers to gain a long term relationship was established. Now customers that bought their initial engagement ring from Jay years back are bringing their children in to purchase their ring!
In the diamond district Jay was immersed and gained experience in all aspects of the diamond business including: establishing and importing diamonds from worldwide contacts, selling wholesale to the trade, traveling the country and exhibiting at wholesale trade shows, manufacturing engagement rings and selling direct to the public.
In 2008 it was clear that Jay’s passion for dealing directly with his customers prompted a move to Houston where Houston Diamond Outlet was born. Now his full attention was set on offering an experience to his Houston customers that would be unrivaled in town. You can set an appointment and expect a relaxed atmosphere in the private showroom, full diamond education, excellent selection, and Jay will share his 30 years experience as a diamond dealer to make sure you get the best value.
